These pancakes look fantastic.Gonna make this for my mom for mother’s day!
4 large granny smith apples (I had a smaller, sweeter variety, but I think that the tartness of the granny smiths will do better. Feel free to experiment, though!)
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
3 Tbspn brandy, opt.
splash of heavy cream
3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter
8 oz. buttermilk
1/2 stick butter, melted
2 Tbspn vanilla (or, use 1 tspn vanilla and cut and scrape a vanilla bean into the batter)
8 oz. flour
1 1/2 tspn sugar (even better: use vanilla sugar!)
2 tspn baking powder
1 tspn salt
